I've been prepping the frames for upholstery on my 69 -- blasted, epoxy primed and painted the steel with Eastwood's bare metal paint. I did have to weld three broken springs on the driver's side bottom; disassembled, cleaned, painted and regreased the tracks. Does any know of a source for loose C-style hog rings (not collated)? All I can find are the D-style and they're not correct -- going on they leave the points exposed and they don't clamp on round.

I agree the round hog rings must be easier to clamp down.
Do they work with standard pliers? |

I've not seen mention anywhere that different types of pliers are used, but most I've seen have too much room on the hinge side so the ring tends to point rather than curve as it is crimped.
