Angry Murphy's Law..

Finally took GP out to Capitol to run with the OPDS.
Hanging with the guys at track is always a pleasure BUT...
Rest of day was bitter sweet..
Car was well liked...tech guy asked if it was Pontiac powered
First pass was a cluster screw...Shades of old fwd shift pattern nailed me plus a hood pin nut backed off allowing hood to open(one side) screwing that up
The guys jumped in to get hood repaired and went back out and made a decent pass..
A 9.69 @ 137..not bad for a slow 60' & only 28-30 degrees timing..Felt great !!!
Made a couple more passes...all at worse 60's but still 9.69 @ 141.
Had to stop as Murphy bit me again....right front caliper started leaking fluid from piston...WTF?.
Back to drawing boards but hey!!.....made my first 9 second pass..
There is more in it for sure..
NO complaints ...just a explanation..
Thanks to OPDS guys for help and Jack for motor..!!!

Congrats, Troy on the 9 second pass!

Perhaps the caliper(s) was dragging?

Hopefully quicker times coming soon.

Thanks gentlemen....
All in all I am pleased for sure. Can't thank my OPDS gang for jumping in and helping out with problems It felt like I was going 240 MPH after being out for almost two seasons..got my need for speed filled for now..
Plan to loosen up front stops/shocks and throw 36 degrees at it next time out..Jack told me to hang on ..should add 50'ish HP and hopefully better 60's...life is good..

Want to thank Alex(WarPed) for selling me a car that runs straight and true !!!
I'm sure he misses it.

Congrats Troy. Another 9sec competitor. So now your need for speed is satisfied, for now. Think about BOP Atco?

Nice another 9 second Grand Prix. I put a sign on my dash "pull back stupid" when I went to the reverse pattern trans break after shifting the wrong way a couple of times. Glad your back at it.
