Default Could someone show/tell me where on a 421 block the engine code is?

Going to pick up a car and look at a couple of 421 engines. I am trying to figure out where the engine code is on the block to tell what version it is. Thanks

Passenger side of block up where the head mates.

The 6 digit number could be below the engine code on the early blocks.
