Default 1978 TA power window conversion

I am going to convert to power windows/door locks on a '78 TA I just bought. I am looking for the boot where the wires go thru to the door. Anyone seen them somewhere or maybe have some I could buy from you? Only ones I have found are for '67-9. They are too small.

I believe those are one of the few parts that aren't available new. Even the places that offer new wiring require you to provide your own boots for the windows/locks.. I did, however, just came across a listing at the parts place that claims to be for second gens but it'=s appearance is definitely not factory correct by the picture. I'm not sure if it fits correctly or not. https://www.thepartsplaceinc.com/pro...d-rubber/73180

Your best bet is probably sourcing a pair off a parts car. There's a pair up on eBay right now (with harnesses). https://www.ebay.com/itm/70-81-CAMAR...torefresh=true

In case you haven't found it already, the best breakdown of the setup I've seen is here https://www.firebirdtransamparts.com...dows/power.htm

If you're not doing a 100 point car I'd recommend doing the 4 Bosch type relay mod for the windows. It takes the full current load off the center console switch and makes the windows move much faster. There a couple slight variations on the setup but there's a good writeup here. http://transamcountry.com/community/...?topic=55463.0

Default Power Window Boot

I have one driver side boot complete with wiring harness I removed from a 1978 T/A years ago. Boot is good condition with no cracks. If interested, send me an email at rscotell@gmail.com. I will send you photos. Asking $45.00 plus shipping from NJ. Thanks
