Default Quick 8 track question

My '70 GTO has a blue interior and a console mounted 8 track player. The 8 track player is correct for the car but was added at some point after it was built. The 8 track player is black, and I am wondering if that is correct, or for 1970 did they come in different colors to match interiors?

Any help will be appreciated.
John

FWIW the exception was B bodies. In 69 B bodies all had black 8 track shrouds. Every other A, F and G in 69 has the 8 track matching the dash-console color. I always figured that this was because the 69 B had an always black dash cluster bezel but perhaps it is related to their all being floor mounted 8 tracks (no console offered on 69 B bodies). Has anyone ever seen a floor mounted (no console car) 8 track that wasn't black on a 69 A, F or G?

I believe the all black 8 track thing on B bodies was a 69 thing because I've seen several 70 B bodies with colored 8 tracks.

My 69 Bonneville Brougham has a green 8 track case and pedestal on floor hump. All original car. It’s the first 69 full-size cars I have ever ran across with a non black unit

Maybe it’s a dealer install? Or perhaps a late production? Since 70 full sized were colored maybe the switched during the year.

Early production car but I suppose it’s possible that unit could have been replaced sometime in it life. Still has original carpet and such. Came from factory with that option and has a bracket mounted on the side that original owner had once installed a CB radio and hung the mic from 8 track player
