Default 70 ragtop on BAT

Nice looking cardinal red 70 ragtop on bat, factory bench and four speed and a nice looking resto.

A lot of pictures as is usually the case on bat, I noticed that the photos of the VIN on the block looked very suspect and that the pictures of the engine when it was apart show it clearly being a 2 bolt block, weren’t the base 350 horse engines with manual trans in 70 4 bolts?

The 70 WT blocks are 2 bolt main.
I have had several.
70 RA3 and RA4 are 4 bolt main.

Interesting, I always had the impression that the YS was 2 bolt but the WT was 4 bolt in 1970 only.

My impression comes from factory literature not actual hands on work so probably just some incorrect or misleading factory info.

How about the VIN on the block? The font looks way different than I’m used to seeing on 69’s.

The 70 blocks I have seen usually are bigger numbers on the VIN.
