Has anyone installed a dual master cylinder on a 1955 Chieftain? It presently has manual brakes.

I used a 73 chevy truck master cylinder on my 56 when I converted it to front disc brakes.
I made a bracket to hold and support the cylinder in the stock location.
This is the only pic I have, worked well, not show quality in appearance.
Used the stock pedal.

Where I live a defroster comes in real handy at night in late summer and fall.

We had a bracket setup that used the Wilwood remote master.
It bolts to the frame and uses the stock pushrod, lever, pedal, etc. Dual feeds for the master which bolts to the bracket:

Sorry, looks like an older post. I used the parts from American Brake and Steering in California. Its a bolt in for the master cylinder, but needs a little "fitting" by the frame. It replaces the master cylinder with a new floor plate and pedal set-up. Won't fit on a manual transmission car due to the clutch pedal shaft being in the way. I installed the front disk brakes, as well. Kind of wish I had opted for the rear disks too. Works great with very little fabrication. Their customer service was excellent dealing with any issues, which there were a couple small things that came up. They have a lot of options if you check out the website - www.abspowerbrake.com
