Anybody know if rear aftermarket coil springs for a 67 GTO look the same as the stock ones? The stock type on my convertible are smaller at the top (by diameter) than they are in the middle and bottom. Most aftermarkets look as thogh they keep the same diameter from top to bottom. By diameter I mean the spring not the individual wire itself.

try these suppliers, they both claim oem appearance.

both companies will adapt ride height if you request it.

check pricing as there has been a significant difference in the applications that i've used.

different springs have different ends, to fit in the brackets supplied by the car manufacturer, but by application, the spring maker should get the same ends as the original.

I think I know what Dan is asking. For the concours restorer, a lot of these springs don't have the same amount of coils, diameter and distance between coils. Although the ends do have to be fairly close to original in order to fit properly. I believe it depends on the application. Some are going to be closer than others. But there are instances where none of the suppliers are going to be exact.
