I am reposting this in suspension instead of unofficial BBB since it is probably more applicable:

Has anyone had success with new monoleaf springs being sold? I bought a pair from Eaton Spring for my '67 Bird convertible and the car now sits 12" from the ground, it looks "jacked up". The specs say the rear rocker should be 8.3" off the ground.

A good friend of mine has a '67 Camaro pace car and got springs from the Paddock (we live in Indianapolis and the Paddock is nearby, no shipping) and his car is now 12" off the ground too. When inquiries were made, the response is simply "No-one has ever complained". I find it hard to believe that all those springs sold no one has noticed this.

What are our alternatives at this point? Can the springs be "adjusted" by re-arching? Should I return them? Can PY get me anything better?

Got 250Lbs. in the trunk just to make it drivable.

I just replaced my tired 4 leafs w/5 leafs from NPD, and it too looks "jacked up". But, I had a clearance problem on a tailpipe with the saggy stockers so it's fine by me. I have heard that they settle a bit over time but no personal experience with that.

We just got a return back from a customer owning a 67 FB conv. He wasn't happy with the height either. We sold him the Eaton Detroit springs. They claim they are correct.

Fool around, get hurt, don't come cry'n to me.
