That invoice described the Brougham i had to a T. I often have noticed that certain models sometimes get a "pattern" build. Every option on that invoice i can confirm was on the car i had except for possibly auto leveling. I may have not noticed that. Definitely worth saving!

Here is a picture of midnight green on a 68 GTO (is a 69 color not originally available on a 68).

My 69 GTO was originally midnight green as well. Great color. I painted it Warwick blue back in 06 to mimic the car my dad had when I was a child. After GP resto is done and bonneville cleaned up and road worthy I’ll restore it back to midnight green. The Bonneville was originally from San Bernardino California and was special ordered by a county court Judge. It’s supposed to include some documentation as well. I’ll update info and pictures on Saturday after I bring it home

I was told he didn’t like disc brakes and he didn’t trust ATC controlled AC so he didn’t order these options interestingly.

There are a couple of slight differences studying the invoice. Mine did have the A/C that you set temperature and it came off and on by itself to maintain temps. I don't think mime had instant air and may have had disc brakes. It has been a long time since i parted that car out.
BTW i had a 69 Warwick Blue GTO with parchment interior, white vinyl top, and 4 speed that i won concourse restored at GTOAA Nationals back in the 90's. Was one of the prettiest color combinations I have seen. It was in a couple of magazines. I bought it from the original owner and it only had 50k miles on it. |

What a cool car. It's interesting how the standard engine in a Bonneville that year was a 360hp 428, the HO 428 was rated at 390hp. You can look at a 1969 brochure at http://oldcarbrochures.org/United%20...iac/index.html Besides a regular full line brochure they also have a prestige full line brochure, accessories brochures, a color and interiors booklet, and more.

Got “Bonnie” home safe this weekend. Had a couple blowouts on trailer but all else was good. Car is solid, no rust and very complete. A bit weathered but not bad considering it’s age and not being on the road since 2002 or so. Rebuilding engine and trans this winter and will sort all other mechanics out. Then plan to clean up interior a bit, install new top and drive it! I’ll then collect parts for it for proper restoration later on

Very cool. It look like it should clean up pretty well - and should be a fun driver. Congrats.

I parted out the 428 HO Bonne I had. Wish it had not been so seriously rusted. Sold those manifolds and oil filter housing easily. They will work on first generation Firebirds.
Good luck! |

hawkins69 - glad to hear you got 'Bonnie' home safely despite the trailer tires. That is a keeper and I have never seen an HO Bonnie before...so cool! I imagine it has 3.23 gears with Saf-T-Track? I'll be following this thread with great interest!

It appears I’m missing most if not all of the instant aire components. If anyone has pictures of an original setup I’d like to see what it looks like and how it’s stored. Thanks!
