Looking for a '61-'64 389 bare block or short block. Both my blocks are cracked. Needs to be in or close to Ohio. The closer to Columbus, OH the better. Thanks.

I think we might be able to help you out. Give my dad a call at 937-882-1329. It's best to catch him in the afternoon up until about 7p.m. We're about an hour away from Columbus.

Steve- please clarify, The only difference that I have heard of was that some cars got blocks that were drilled for starter mounting that year. I was under the impression that big cars still used the bellhousing mounted starter. Please let me know what else might be different. Thanks.

Trump, I also have a block (actually a rebuildable, complete running engine)...but the main question is, what year block do you NEED?

Year isn't that important to me it's for a hot rod build. I bought a "rebuilt engine" and the last guy used too long of a bolt on the timing cover and busted through the blind hole and started a hairline crack headed for Main Journal #1.
I just need a block that I can take to the machine shop and then move everything from the busted block to a new one. The busted block was a '63 389 block. Thanks for the leads and help fellas. |

I checked and we do have a block (actually a couple). I'll have to double check the years. I can provide this machined and ready to switch all the components or switch the components for you if you wish...or you can just buy the block. Let me know.
