Question E-Head plumbing

Has anyone plumbed E-Heads from both sides to the water crossover and incorporated the heater also?
If so, would they be willing to share pictures and/or secrets to the modification?
The nipples that are included with the heads are brass and surely (I'm guessing) not what is used. What's best, hard tubing or flex hoses?

Default Plumbing E Heads

This is my set up.
It is installed on a set of stock 7K3 heads. the same set up will work on a set of after market heads using the 3/4 x 3/8 bushing .
The part that screws in to the head is called a bushing it is 3/4x3/8 inch npt. This part is an Earl's.
Sorry The photo of the cross over does not enlarge. When installed the cross over loops forward and down under the distributor.
I don't have a photo of that either.
