66 to 67 AM-FM face plate swap
has anyone tried the 66 - 67 am-fm face plate offered by PY ? i jhave a 66 FM and would like to make it into a 67 . easy swap ?? or any better ideas ?

I've done several 65 conversions over the years, big car FM to "A" body FM. Lots of little problems that may have been handled since I did the last. As I remember holes didn't line up, some were undersized but with perserverence got it done. I assume you may have the same problems, may be not.

The faceplates are the same for 66 and 67, except that the '67 has the blue-gray paint around the edges. I fact, the last time I checked, the face plates only come unpainted. I bought one of the new face plates on ebay (I didn't know PY sold them as well). It may be the same manufacturer that PY sells, but the faceplate is identical to original--perfect and high quality. You'll have to use your old lense and your old clip for the AM/FM slide switch. I'll post a pic of the 67 faceplate when I get home.
