Default Test and tune

Took the car to the track last night to test the suspension changes that I made. I put Calvert leaf spring sliders on, readjusted the shocks, and changed the pinion angle a little. It's working decent, although it wasn't a great outing as we were not prepared as usual. Last minute decision. I didn't have any modules for the 2step under 4,000rpm so I just gave it enough pedal to leave at 3,000rpm. So the 60' is soft at 1.50 leaving with no boost. The transmission may need freshening also because the shift light was on all the way down in 3rd. Was touching the limiter. But anyway here are a couple videos. Went 6.21 at 115 on 10psi weighing 3,700lbs. If I can work my 60' down into the 1.30's it should go a 5 like it is I hope.

Time slip. Not ready to run the 1/4 just yet, but it's almost in the 9's on the brakes after the 1/8th. Gotta love turbo Pontiacs!

Your car looks alot like mine did going down the track. Soft launch and lots of mph on the other end.
Check out this old video from back around '08 when I was searching for a 9 sec slip. Couldn't get any traction and had 5000 ft air. Your video reminded me of this except nines will be easy for you I'll bet.

I pulled the transmission to send the converter back to PTC for tightening. As expected there's clutch material in the oil, so I'm gonna freshen the tranny too. On the brake with no 2step it was going to 5,100 rpm. With the cold air box, the methanol, and the open exhaust I'm assuming that it's making a little more power. It's probably flashing way higher than that going down the track. I think that I'm gonna tell them to tighten it 1,000-1,500 rpm. What do you all think?

Looks good.

You need to get that front end loosened up with more travel.

Here is a good link to a forum on The Bullet for Cal Trac set up. You probably have it.

Have a good talk with PTC on the convertor, they have a good rep setting up the turbo cars.
