Eventually will be installing Vintage Air for ac car . Can't decide if I want to go with a plastic or fiberglass delete box for now. Need some help with pic, pros and cons.

I’m doing the same, replacing the old factory AC on my 70 Formula with a Vintage Air unit. I’m doing a resto-mod project and wanted to clean up the engine compartment…

I had my bodyman weld in a steel panel to smooth the firewall. I’m assuming this is what you’re talking about? He also welded the stud on the inside, for mounting the VA unit so you don’t have to drill through there. Looks super clean now!
