Rubber
Your not missing anything.its a safety for the hood not to go thru windshield in case of accident. No rubber on top of that .

Looks like you’re missing the lower trim on the glass.

1974 is one piece like the one from classic ind.
Later year use the 3 pieces iirc. |

70-76 used the 1-piece moulded rubber, 77-81 use the roll cut to length in 3 sections, same as what 79-81 use for front of hood.
The cowl seal is to keep hot enginebay heat from entering the grille for cabin fresh air. It won't seal water, nor does it matter. There's gaps, it rains, and inside the cowl is wet each time anyway. What is Leaking? He's not referring to the hood stop bolt. |

The pic is all the way in the corner. Not sure really what he’s asking.

Oh ok...one piece that makes sense then...thx
After I wash her, I eventually get a small puddle of water on the driver side floor under the brake pedal. It doesn't appear right away but hours later and I haven't witnessed the drip. My insulation is totally missing so I mite as well correct that - didn't even realize it was missing until I looked at that other bird.

It could have a rust pinhole in the floor of the cowl or perhaps running down from kick panel that isn't sealed.
