Default Urban paint booth exhaust question

All my early life I lived out in the sticks so garage painting wasn't an issue. In recent years I've moved to very urban home, big shop but neighbors just 10 feet away. SO my issue is dealing with the paint booth exhaust. I have heard that it is of some good to blow the exhaust fan 20-25 feet up in the sky. I own a sheet metal shop so it would be very easy to extend the duct off my big exhaust fan like that. Is there any truth to that? Trying to filter the paint out of the exhaust is futile, last time all the filters clogged in 5 min

You might check the SPI paint forum for info on that subject. Alot of good going on there.

Are you using booth exhaust filters? They should last for hours of heavy spraying. Or you could spray late at night, or on rainy days.
