Ditto on the Ames catalog. I came up with a wish list that totaled over $1000.00 in the first 2 minutes.

Not sure if Tempest Panels are available, Lemans panels are. If you run into trouble getting them, PM me and I will give you a contact at Ames and PUI. If you send them your panels, they might be able to reproduce them for you, then offer them to others.

Its what my friend did with his 62 SD Lemans.

Just to add to what Gary K and Keith said, most of the places that advertise "63 Tempest" door panels actually only carry the LeMans panels with the carpet along the bottom. Make sure to clarify before buying.

Is that carpet at the bottom? looks like a LeMans panel. You can request a swatch of material from Ames to see if the color is the same.

i thought the same too. the car is supposedly original. i will have to ask the po next time i am there working on it . i should check the other panel while i am at it.
the car has the round tempest tail lights and all of the tempest emblems. no lemans ones to be seen anywhere. will have to request the material and see

It could still have the upgraded interior without it being a LeMans. The only difference is the badging & tail lights.

I dont have an accessories booklet for the 63's, BUt you could order a car with just about anything you wanted!! You had a base interior, usually cloth (standard) & then you had the delux interior, usually Morrokide Vinyl (option). You could order all the LeMans options & have it put on a Tempest. The only things not available without it becoming a LeMans is the tail lights & the badging. Need to order a PHS listing on your car. This will tell you exactly what was on the car from the factory. It will also tell you where the car was built, where it was shipped, etc, etc. PHS for Pontiacs is concidered the "Birth certificate" for the car.
