Default pics of pedal mounted kick down switch in 2nd gen

doing a 'custom' install of a TH400 kick down switch in my 81 this week. looking for a nice clean pic of what the finished install should look like for the switch that is actuated by the gas pedal under the dash in a second gen F-Body.

Look at 81 Z28s as they had a cowl hood flap throttle pedal switch activated. I think I have one in the garage I'll look for.

not sure if this shows what you need, it's pretty tight under there for side views.

You may have a manual trans gas pedal bracket in the car if it isn't drilled. The A bodies are that way. Manual trans bracket was different than auto.

There's one on ebay right now. http://www.ebay.com/itm/70-81-Camaro...FYzwsS&vxp=mtr

I have a spare GM NOS switch. If you're interested, PM me.

Yep the 81 Camaros had a small cowl hood scoop that was electronically actuated . I never knew that until I parted one out to turn my plain Camaro into a Z28-that is gettign the 500" IA motor. In fact pulled the 383 SBC out this weekend to get ready fro the swap.

That's a ginormous mount compared to the early 70's one. Check Ames, pretty sure the have the earlier small mount.

The mount is just on the side of a normal pedal bracket.
