Default OHC Tempest wagon

I went & looked at a 62 Tempest the other day that is in the Phx area. The guy also had a 66 Tempest wagon for sale. OHc 6 with an automatic. Running, driving car. Needs restored. Car has a 67 front clip on it. He is asking 3K for it. I have a few pictures if anyone is interested, PM me.

That would be pretty sweet. I've always wanted a Tempest wagon, cloned to look like a GTO

Default Here are the pictures!

Not very good pics but you get the idea. P/S car. No power brakes or A/C. Dont know the history or anything. He just had the trans built & put in. 2 speed auto. Needs work. but he said with a battery it will fire right up. Said it runs good. Said he has a set of sprint manifolds to go with it but no carb.

Thanks for posting that rare beast, the OHC-6 wagons are very rare, from what I understand in North America the 325 2bbl was the standard engine in a wagon, and you had to opt for the credit of the OHC-6. In 67 you could even order the HI-PO OHC-6 but not a sprint wagon. I only know of a couple other Cammer Wagons, and one is a 69 in Norway!!!!

This is way cool, probably the first OHC wagon I've seen. Really like the molding running down the side and the air deflector.

Sprintify! It could be cool.

I guess those aren't the original fenders? It looks like 326 emblems on there.

Like I said in the O/P, it has a 67 clip on it. Does also have 326 emblems on it.

I didnt look real close, but it looked solid. A bit banged up in back as you can see. Body work in progress. Tires looked fairley new. He said 3K but I think he would take less if ya show'd up with a fist full of cash! If I had the cash, it would be in my driveway right now! Love wagons!

I'd be sleeping in the spare room (again) if closer. SO cool without the roof rack.

Talking Wagons HO!

As stated above, in '67 you could order the 4bbl OHC engine in the wagons,
It just wasn't termed as a SPRINT. I think it was listed as an HO OHC 6 package.
How cool would it be to make that '66 into a could have/should have copy

Ok,,, Here are some more pictures. The guy has the back bumper. Also has an NOS cargo matt for it. The matt has the chrome strips for the "Custom" He does have the bottom of the back seat (in his workshop). Says it will run & drive. Needs a battery to run. The owners name is Andy, his number is 623-975-3457 He also has a 4bbl intake manifold for it. Car has Craigers all the way around with pretty decent tires on them.

Go get it Keith and come on over to the OHC-6 forum. There is also the Overhead Cammers Club that has over hundred members that are the smartest people on this engine including Fred Simmonds!

Not yet. Just cant bring myself to do it. Price is right. Heard it run today. Battery & a spray of gas in the carb & it fired right up. Would love to have it, but not in the cards right now. Maybe someday. Doesnt look like its going anywhere soon.
