considering what they are asking for those sprint Project cars, that red Convertible 67 in Lex KY looks like a good deal!

I like it when they ask 5X what I think a car is worth and then say something like "these cars are worth $30,000 once restored" And I think $10,000 for the car as is, $40,000 to restore it, so a total of $50,000 to spend on it for a $30,000 return. Sounds Good to me!

Any thoughts about parts value of this 67 Lemans Sprint listed on Craigslist?
http://cnj.craigslist.org/cto/4725692680.html
Tough to tell with just 1 photo.
Motor long gone, replaced by a Chebby 6, body rusty, frame is said to be good, has 4 speed Muncie, original round shaft Hurst shifter, console, 1964-65?? bucket seats, posi rear (unknown ratio) non rally dash with clock, green glass tinted windows and ps
I thought the standard 4 speed was a Saginaw cast iron, could be wrong.
Asking $1500, IMHO about $500 too high.
I plan on seeing it this week, since it's about 1/2 hour away from me.
I have a 69 250 that runs well, and enough 67 A body parts to transform this into a decent driver; just seems a little too pricey in it's present condition.
Comments????
Thanks, Ron

Ron,
It never hurts to look
I've responded to your post on YUKU.
As is and priced it would be very hard to turn a buck.
There are parts to be had but condition is everything.

Let us know what you find out.
Cheers

Unhappy 67 Lemans Sprint NJ Craigslist

Hi Jeff
I just noticed this car for sale for "Parts"
http://cnj.craigslist.org/cto/4758841827.html
I sold this car in the late 80's when I bought my 67 GTO.
I didn't need a project car since the GTO was a decent driver.
The car looks like it has sat outside since I sold it
I went to see it this afternoon.....SAD
The 4 speed shifter, bell, pedals, trans and the 3.23 posi are the only parts worth saving IMHO.
Sheetmetal is junk
The console is way below driver quality, rust everywhere, 64 seats, stuck Chevy 6 cyl.....
Ron

Check this one out, Looks like a pulley I seen on a OHC, from craigslist or ebay, that Jeff posted I commented on.
3 GROOVE GM ? PONTIAC ? WATER PUMP PULLEY AMC ? MOPAR? 1960'S ? 1970'S ?
some reason can't get the link posted, off of ebay.

Wasn't there a 66' OHC setup with PS and something else that had a three pulley system? Or maybe it was a harmonic balancer that had three grooves?

Even with all belt driven pumps/accessories all pulleys where duel groove.

Check this out http://www.ebay.com/itm/5648116-1966...p2047675.l2557, This don't look like a 68-69 air cleaner, at least some of it.
