RA manifolds & TH400
Hi All,
I am in midst of a E-head conversion with RARE manifolds. All is going good but the trans cooler lines do not fit without bending etc. I was thinking about going to the 67 lines for the HO & RA applications. I believe the 66 - 67 lines are 5/16 while the 64 - 65 lines are 3/8 no? So, I found these: https://www.hillmangroup.com/us/en/F...ube%29/p/58358 These look good to adapt the 65 radiator to the 5/16 lines and seem to fit well. Now, for the other end, I still have the '75 fittings for the TH400 that came with the transmission from the yard, will these work for the 67 RA lines? I just want to make sure before I spring for the 67 lines. Thanks! Mark

I have no idea which will fit. Why not buy the '67 cooling lines---the chassis' are the same and the HO manifolds were an option in '67. The only unknown is the fittings on the trans and radiator end. If they don't match, you can use adaptors.

Had that same combo in my ‘64 Tempest and used some reproduction ‘67 HO trans cooling lines, worked perfectly.
Buy whatever adapter fittings necessary to use the 5/16” ‘67 lines.

Catch up day
I went with the 67 HO / RA repo lines, they fit but not that great, I think its the way the shipper set them to me deformed them a little. The Hillman #58358 flare adapters worked well for adapting the 67 5/16" inverted flares to the 3/8" fittings in the 65 radiator. Thanks! Mark

Thanks for the update. I'll be going that same route later this year.
