Your favorite unpopular or unknown movie
I was talking to the guys I work with about our favorite movies that never really got too much attention (or everyone hates) for one reason or another. I figured it might make an interesting thread. Maybe I’ll see a good movie or two I never heard of before.
One of my favorites is “Night of the Juggler”. James Brolin’s daughter gets kidnapped in NYC and he tries to catch the abductor. He’s an ex cop who turned in a few crooked officers, so the NYPD basically ignores his situation. Non stop action as Brolin tears the city apart trying to catch the kidnapper. It’s kind of dated as I think it came out in the early 80’s or so. If you can find a copy somehow check it out! https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=MlM2uQt-cVo Anybody else got one?

Haha! That was another one of mine. I just figured most people had heard of it. Seems the guys younger than 30 or so never had

I was a huge fan of the Speed Racer remake from a decade or so ago. I thought it did a great job of capturing the animation spirit in live action.
I also have a soft spot for Blood Sport.

I like the Noir Alley series on TMC. These are 'B' crime movies made from the mid 40s-early 50s. Of these I like Double Indemity with Barbara Stanwyck and Fred McMurray and The Postman Always Rings Twice with Robert Mitchum.

Yes great movie. The 57 Chevy was Popular Hot Roddings Project X. Watch the race against the Cobra, you can see the smoke come over the 57 when they blew the engine while filming.

Got a few:
Hot Rods to Hell X-15 Bombers B-52 The above I saw on WGN Channel 9 here in the Chicago area back when they had movies at 10:30 PM on the weekends - after the news. I haven't seen those movies in over 40 years. Nuclear War movies: By Dawn's Early Light Threads (really freaky) - regardless after seeing that I still nearly served in the USAF as "someone has to drop the bombs" The Gumball Rally (especially the start) The California Kid Hot Rod 1979 ABC also had "movies of the week" in the 70s: Outrage Satan's Triangle - Kim Novak (who is still living) - really freaky for a 7 year old! Six-String Samurai. Soundtrack featured the Red Elvises.
Yes, it's low budget camp, but I defy anyone to make a better post-apocolyptic rock-a-billy Western. |

From back in Peter Sellers' heyday, he produced a short trailer (about 3 minutes) titled "The Running Jumping Standing Still Man" tacked onto the end of one of the British comedies (Beatles??).

Excellant choice for the topic.
Me and my brothers started watching that when it came on super late on a Saturday night, about 40 years ago. Just had to watch it to the end, even though we were dog tired. It mighta been on WGN, like the poster below talked about. One of my favorites, OK I can think of two right now: Nightmare at Noon with George Kennedy and Wings Hauser. A B-movie for sure, but so campy it's funny. Seven Hours to Judgment with Beau Bridges. This has a plot similar to the movie 67drake described in the OP. Bridges is a lawyer who is lead on a phone tag hunt for his abducted wife. There are a lot of scenes with comic overtones. There was a made for TV movie in 1970 called: Sole Survivor, that has always stuck in my memory. A B-25 bomber is crashed in an African desert and the crew are waiting to be found. Then when a recovery party shows up, they reveal that they are actually dead, but want the searchers to find their bones so they can be properly laid to rest.
