I do not have a garage or the money for one, my ride is outside. Talk about jealous.

Default lift

Hey,looks like a killer garage. As far as the Rotary lift you installed, you will love it! I have one Rotary lift (2 post) in my garage, and one Direct lift(4 post). The Rotary I use for all my grunt work. The Direct lift I use to double stack a couple of cars. post some more pictures when it is in use.

That lift looks awfully close to that wall..............Nice shop, looks like lots of room.

It is exactly 2' however many inches the installation manual called for. I out it directly between my 2 roll ups, font and back.

The interior of the shop is 30'x30', but I allowed another 30' for future expansion.

Hey,that's smart on you're part to leave room for expansion! My garage is 28'x56', and I have out grown it a long time ago. That is why I have started to stack my cars.Which as a lazy dude, I don't feel like going through the hazzle of moving one car out, to let one down to drive, so I leave my 69 Camaro on top (least favorite). How high is you're ceiling?

I have 12' ceilings. I keep my Lemans parked between the lift uprights, as I drive it the most. I also have a built fj40 in there, and a 63' Vette. 3 cars and a shop area.
My wife and my daily drivers sit outside until I build our carport.

Cool.........looks closer than that in the pic. Good idea leaving room for expansion. I have enough room to expand mine some......I could probably add 15 or 20 feet to the back side of it. I probably will end up adding 10 feet ir so one of these days.

A few more shots, working on the workbench and cabinets. Slow going for sure. Maybe I'll get a car back there by fall......................

The bench is 82" long, 18" deep. There's a bare Pontiac 400 block, set of heads, old rearend outta the GTO under the main part of the bench, the old T-400 is under the el.

The garage is a two car wide with a tandem stall, front section is 24 x 22, rear is 11 x 22, 11' ceilings. The bench is in the rear section.

Some of you guys have shrines, not Garages. If you dont trip at least once going to the tool box something is wrong.

Default size

My garage is 40x42, when I get rid of that ford I have alot more room. Im rebuilding the ford for a guy to get enough money to finish my 64 Prostreet project.

70KGOLD -
That was almost the size I was looking at originally, 44 x 40 deep. Thought the price would be a little too high and really didn't need to double stack cars. So, now I'm pretty much set on 42 x 28. Should give me room for a shop area and storage in front of the cars. I'm also thinking about a partial loft for more storage. Choices, choices.

I've been waiting at least eight years for this to happen.

24x32 GeoBarn, built by myself and two of the nicest barn-builders on the planet. Rear bay will be for projects and work, front two for parking. Cantilevered overhang will shelter my truck. Cupola is built like a pillbox and offers a great place to sit, read, drink, think, look. Not a 2x4 to be found on the whole build. Main posts are either 6x6 or 6x8 hemlock, rafters are 2x8 (or is it 2x10...I can't recall as I sit here), diagonal framing is 2x6.

Nice! So that's a 3 car garage. 2 one way and 1 in the back perpendicular? And then two different rooms upstairs? Pretty cool.

Yes, that is correct. The front two bays have 7' or so ceilings, and the rear bay has 12'. The idea was to have a lift back there, but I am no longer sure that I will go that route because of width issues. Even without a lift, I love the feeling of openness given to that bay with the extra headroom. A ladder or pull-down staircase will lead from the raised loft area on the second floor to the attic, from which you can access the cupola. The cupola is also functional with respect to ventilation.
