Distributor vacuum source
I have checked in my 66 shop manual and cannot find the correct location for the vacuum advance line for the tripower distributor. I did a search here and have been reading about the difference between port and manifold vacuum. This has not helped me find the correct location, but that may be irrelevant since my car is a wv 66 smog car. I have put it back together without any of the smog equipment. So I don't know if it really matters if I plumb it correct for a non AIR car.
My center carb has the rare CA AIR fuel bowl. This fuel bowl has a port right above the base that isn't there on the 7031535 bowls. I thought about using that, but will have an odd vacuum line not correct on usual 66 tripowers. Anyways, please advise where the correct location is, as I am trying to make it look factory correct/pretty for a non AIR car. |

Non-A.I.R 1966 Tripower uses a threaded 1/8" NPT fitting at rear of center carb base for full manifold vacuum to the vacuum advance.
Also, you will need an 1/8" NPT plug for the ported vacuum source on float bowl. |

I got a T fitting for the center carb port. I had the dash pot for the center carb plugged in there. I also plugged the other port.
Thank you for the reply |

WV vacuum advance
The WV vacuum advance does come off the fitting shown in your photo. A plated steel line is connected to it and loops around and lands between the center and rear carb. This line appears in the attached photo of a survivor tri power system owned by 60sstuff.

The very generic parts book sketch seems to show two possible dist vac access points. Both may have been used depending on which transmission was used. That question should be answered in the shop manual.
