"E" code camshaft
Has anyone ever come across a Pontiac camshaft with an "E" code ?
This camshaft came from a 1966 326 HO motor that I rebuilt a few years ago. I can't find any info. on this cam. Just wondering if this cam was only used in this engine. Thanks, Jim |

The only reference to an "E" stamp cam that's in the material I have mates it to a 69-70 with Hydra-matic 2bbl engine, part #537441 for both years. Have you checked the Wallace site?

#537441 code "E" were used in 1964-5 for 326 eng. w/2 and 4 bbl M/T and A/T.
It was also used for 1965 2-bbl WA, WB, YB and 4-bbl WD 389´s. No other engines from factory used this cam. |
