I wish I had some Pontiac Gus closer. Hell I'd take chevelle guys. My only "Pontiac friend" up here is a good guy but he prices all his parts like they are gold which in a way I guess they are now. I just can't spend 1500 on a core even if it is a 67 HO 400

I am planning to be there with my Beaumont. I believe there were 3000 cars registered for the show last year. I was out of town working so I wasn't there.

Is the swap meet any good as far as Pontiac stuff? Thinking about going this year.

Do they have after hour events like the Turkey Rod Run ( slow race , teeter totter ect ) thinking about going just have to double check the car over 550 miles each way would be longest road trip so far.

They cruise and its a really relaxed environment law enforcement wise but they dont have any organized events. The show is huge

Thursday evening there will be hundreds of cars that cruise up Ocean Blvd for a couple hours. There will be cars that stop to do burnouts. For the most part, the local police are pretty cool unless someone is being a complete idiot.

If you stay at the Breakers or three or four blocks in either direction from it you can walk to the show

Patricia Grand is another good choice and you can walk to the show. The car show is two blocks from the strip and that's where all the hotels are. I can't give you exact addresses but they leveled the old myrtle square mall and the show takes up ALL that property. Any hotel around that puts you in walking distance

It's almost here. Just a week away. I look forward to it every year. I hope the weather holds out. If it's like it was today it will be perfect. Not bringing my car cause I don't like to show things until they are finished but I'm gonna be scoping all the pontiacs for ideas

I just booked my room for Thursday night. Unfortunately, I'm all the way in the other direction from the show. Guess I'll take a cab or something. Can't wait for the show!

Scoob I ran the full hot rod power tour in 2011 and to be honest although it was great it was very commercial. This show is absolutely huge and it doesn't cost a dime. You will see a little bit of everything because the entry rules are relaxed. There isn't really a swap meet but bring money or have access to money because TONS of the cars are for sale and come Saturday afternoon there's some negotiating going on. I have had two follow me home when I had no intention of buying anything. I am surprised it's never been on my classic car.

I received my registration card in the mail yesterday. I'm number 1713. I'll be there by around 2 pm Thursday. I don't know if I'll go to the show field Thursday but I will be in the cruise up and down Ocean Blvd. For anyone that has never been there you need to find a spot somewhere along this route and set up a chair. There will be a few hundred cars cruising the Blvd for a couple hours or more. Enjoy the weekend.

I may end up just taking my truck. My Tempest is still at the upholstery shop and I may not get a chance to deal with the brake issue prior to the show. Either way, I can't wait.

Does anyone know the name of that bar and grill right beside the giant slingshot ride on ocean Blvd right near the beginning of the shops. Figured that would be a good place to sit and watch the cruise even though it's gonna be freezing
