corrugated shipping box
Hey fellas: I have a couple fenders that may need to be shipped. Gonna need a box to ship them in. Where can I get boxes measuring +/- 12"x36"x72"? Thanks!

Probably your best bet is to get a refrigerator box from a local appliance store, and cut it down to suit.

Agree with Stuart. Or a mattress box from a furniture store.
Uline has them, but they are $30. each in minimum quantities of 25. Jon.

Check with your local body shop.
Bumper covers and larger parts come in nice heavy boxes....

I didn't think of that, it's a good idea. The trick will be getting hold of the box before they tear it open...I imagine they aren't usually very careful about opening them.

For storing nice used fenders up in the pallet rack, I'm using the last of my old thick 6 1/2 foot long cardboard GM fender wrappers. Ton thicker than the cheesy thin boxes repro fenders, quarters, & bumper covers come in. Have also made quite a few similar fender wrappers out of thick corrugated cardboard, most from furniture boxes, steel cabinet packaging, ping pong table boxes, etc. Poly strapping tool is a a must tightening up the loaded fender wrapper.
For shipping of fenders, together, unless they're something small, they're going to be too bulky just to ship nested together, wrapped in cardboard. Instead lengthen a pallet & build a small crate around them. Doesn't have to be a massive crate, but flimsey typically doesn't cut it.

Only problem is today's fenders weight about 15lbs. And the box is built for that. If you find one you may have to reinforce it.

Plumbers might have boxes for water heaters or bathtubs that could be trimmed down.
