Default Facebook help for an idiot.

Hey all! I have what is probably a stupid question.
I’m using the Facebook app on an IPhone. In Marketplace I can’t see the phone numbers when they want you to call. I Googled & poked around in settings but can’t seem to figure it out.

Any help would be appreciated by their Ludite.

Thanks
Murf

Not a fan and don't do much there other than waste some valuable time on the Quadrajet page. It is DIFFICULT to navigate for sure, and NOT user friendly for sure, I feel your pain........

I love it! I found more car parts for my projects on FB groups, than any place else, both new and hard to find parts.

I’ve bought & sold a fair amount of stuff also. Have you ever seen what I trying to find an answer for? Phone numbers that you can’t see in the ad.

Thanks
Murf

Sometimes they'll post a pic with the phone number written on something, if you peruse all the pictures, sometimes they'll spell it out in the ad. I usually leave them a message and ask them to call me, or if they'll message me their phone number. I have no idea why FB won't post a phone number, and their software senses it and censors it out of the ad.

I'm not really big on messaging, and would rather talk to someone via phone than using messaging. If someone has the answer about calling people that place the ads, I would like to hear it also.

I've googled it, and really found nothing abut it. Today people would rather text, than talk on the phone, but I'm old fashioned and would rather communicate the way God intended us to communicate when I'm trying to buy something, That would be speaking, and listening.

My wife is 15 years younger than me, sometimes I get her involved in the texting part when I'm trying to inquire about a FB ad, she is more comfortable with texting than I am, her kids usually talk to her via text, but I really don't like it much.

Just a dinosaur I guess, bucking the world, and the way the majority communicate nowadays.

I'm a dinosaur also. Talk in person. Make business deals with a hand shake, eye to eye.

You are not Facebook's customer.

You choose to be Facebook's inventory without compensation.

Your personal info, freely given by you, is what they sell.

My biggest regret in life was participating for far too long. I finally decided the benefits to me were minuscule compared to what I gave up to them.

I hope more folks decide to get off of it.

I only signed on Facebook for marketplace, I created an account with a different name and have no personal info at all, even used a burner phone number to register.

Messenger is a separate mobile app you need to communicate to most facebook users. It helps weed out the crazy scammers before you give out personal information.
