Default 71-72 Firebird Formula 455 HO

Hello All,

I have been a Pontiac fan a long time. My favorites of course are the second generation Firebirds, especially 1970 thru 1972 Formulas.

What I am looking for is a 71 or 72 Formula 455 HO. A 4 speed would be awesome and probably my preference. Probably can't afford a restored one but anything below that condition wise I will consider.

I know they are not common but it doesn't hurt to ask and hopefully get a lead.

Thanks for your help.

Might I suggest you share your location - it might help people decide weather or not they will message you or post a reply.

Quite likely one of few '70 Muncie three speed Formula 400's left.

1991 Grand Am: 14.4 @ 93.7mph (DA corrected) (retired DD, stock appearing)
2009 Cobalt SS: 13.9 @ 103mph (current DD; makes something north of 300hp & 350ft/lbs)

I'd like to be helpful, but I have no idea what's affordable to you. I also have to admit that I'm skeptical to provide any tip to someone that can't even share their location, condition and price range. It's as if you are deliberately trying to be evasive. The west coast of America is kind of large, don't you think?

There is a line around the corner of guys looking for rust free 71 455ho 4 speed Formulas for $5k. Help us help you. Be more specific. And by the way, I do own 71 and 72 455HO 4 speed Formulas among other things.

Not at all trying to be evasive. This is my first attempt at posting a want ad and I guess I didn't do such a good job.

Let me try one more time...

Wanted: Matching numbers 1971 or 1972 Pontiac Firebird Formula 455 HO 4 spd
Condition: Rust bucket up to a nice driver
Price range: Free up to $40kish, maybe a little more depending
Location: Central California

Again, any leads would be greatly appreciated.
