I'll have to dig up more pictures from Mom, Steve. Dad had some shots of the '65 from back then...for the life of me I can't remember if it was a post or a hardtop, but it was a 2 door. It had a 389 2-barrel in it, automatic, dual exhaust, power steering, power brakes, air conditioning, and that's about it. Bench seat with the "2-tone" interior that was popular then...the interior was green too. Dad ordered it, and had to have the air and power steering/brakes, but he was pretty practical when it came to cars...a "minimalist businessman's coupe" suited him. I remember as a kid he never liked listening to the radio when riding in the car, so we always had the base AM radio until you couldn't buy them new like that anymore.

I recently found all of the paperwork from the '72 Catalina 2-door hardtop he bought new...including the protectoplate...damn shame the car was scrapped, but after he struck and killed a pedestrian walking home from jail one night and killed him, he lost interest in the car.

This is a pic of my mom and dad.
He was the Pontiac Dealer..see sign in top right?

We also sold Hondas too and based on the size and style of my mom's bellbottoms
and the nose of those Civics, I'd say this was fall of 73.

I know I've got some other dealership shots. I'll have to scan and post them too!

This is a photo I took in about 1977 at Amber Green Dragways; it was close to Eau Claire, Wisconsin but is long gone (sorry for the quality, all I have is an old contact print.) At the time, I believe there were seven Trans Ams in my little home town that had a population of about 1800 at the time. These are three of them; in front is an Admiralty Blue '74 SD-455, which is still in the hand of the original owner, the second one is a black '76 455, and I forget the details on the one in the back.

A few more Annette pics. Gosh, what a great looking gal. Wish there were more around like that. such a clean, cute and wholesome look. Not trashy.

Not sure where this is but, ANY good Pontiac person should want to stay here! Even just to get some of their stationary, pens or anything with the name on it!

Back to trailers.. If you have not seen this movie, it is quite cute and funny too. A real classic.

Stuart, Pontiac did not make a SD Trans Am in '75. Maybe it was a '74? That color was available both years.

Here's a couple of me and my parents 65 Catalina. It was a two door hardtop, Fontaine blue. I guess this was the first Pontiac I ever rode in. I don't know what happened to it. My dad either traded it or sold it in 1972 to get a 72 Catalina 2 door hardtop. That one ended up being mine to drive when I was older. It was Revere Silver with a black vinyl top and Rally II wheels. It had a 400-2 bbl.
