So the ones you posted at Wal Mart are not a current item? I click that link but the tire shown doesn’t show the White raised letters on the sidewalls just the Indy logo. I think I’m confused!

Yes. But those are the pair I just bought. The description says outline white letters BUT they are block letters. Just like you have. These measure about 1 inch tall. Pic included. No xtra charge.

I always thought it was appropriate to have TA radials on a TA...?
Wal Mart sells those also!

As far as sun damaged tires, the sun might make them look bad but the problem is with the bonding agents and nothing can stop the aging. My motorhome was always parked inside the Butler building and the only sunlight exposure was the few times we took it out every year. Hydraulic leveling jacks had all six tires totally off the ground. The Michelin tires were not quite 8 years old when I discovered that two tires suffered catastrophic steel belt separation and blew out while up in the air. Brought the two tires to the tire shop and purchased six new ones. Went back and mounted the two new tires and at 35 MPH going to the tire store had the third tire blow out. It was like the the bonding agents just let go of their molecular hold.

My son's 68 Firebird had front tires that were 9 years old but looked like new and had all the tread with no outward signs of trouble. The Firebird was also parked in the barn with tires up in the air and only left storage for drag racing. He was lucky that the tread came off clean but tire didn't immediately deflate. It happened at 121 MPH right at the finish line. The tread really wadded the fender up, but all-in-all he was very lucky.

After those incidents and a few others that happened to friends, I now replace my tires solely on age regardless of what they look like.

Interesting that you can't buy these tires from a Firestone dealer, but Walmart has them.

There's been many threads on tires, and tire ages here....
Your thinking is very good. 4-5 years is a good time line to consider tires too old to use. after that age they still look good, but could be harmful, especially at 121 MPH. Most companies that cap truck tires won't cap a tire over 5 years old. There's a chance or the tire casing giving out before the tread wears off, if using older tire cores.
