Orange Wire??
What is the orange wire on the console harness for....68 GTO, console automatic. The original is cut and new harness coming?

There is an orange lead that goes to the combination courtesy lamp socket/switch in the console glove box ... and I think a grey lead that would go to the console shift indicator lamp on a lemans.

I didn’t use that wire since my auto console doesn’t have a light. Was that a manual thing?

IIRC the console compartment light was deleted halfway through 68 production
