most reliable - a few cars I've had that started out as the worst ones. Replace everything under the sun, then sell it. Next owner goes 100,000 minimum with nary a bit of maintenance. It happened more times than I care to admit.

Worst? I've had a few, but the real standout is an 82 Trans Am with Cease-Fire Injection. There was no part of that car that I didn't hate eventually. I got it running decent, tripled my money, sold it to a guy "who knew everything about them". Sat next to his house for four years, then was scrapped. He must not have been as savvy as he let on. F that car and the person that designed it.

Best
1. 1990 Ford Mustang LX 5.0 coupe, 5 speed. Bought new out of college. Put 141000 miles on it over 13 years. Never had a single problem with it. And I mean nothing ever went wrong with that car. Quick, agile and fun to drive. Sold it as my family was expanding and I thought I needed another family car. Big f'n mistake as I bought my wife's grandmother's 1995 LeSabre Custom to replace it (see worst list). Wish I still had the Stang. I'd buy it back if I could.
2. 2004 Honda Odyssey. Bought new in late 2003. Great family van, served my family well for over 10 years. Very reliable. Tranny finally went at about 223000 miles (common on these vans). I had it rebuilt and sold it to my niece who drove it for several more years.
3. 2008 Dodge RAM 1500, 5.7L Hemi. Another vehicle with absolutely no issues. I get 70000 miles on a set of tires. Now at 168000 miles. Great, reliable truck. If it makes it past 223000 miles with no significant issues, it will move past the Honda on my list.
4. 2015 Dodge Challenger RT Plus. I bought this slightly used with 5k miles. No problems except the back tires seem to wear unusually fast. Sublime with black leather interior An absolute blast to drive. Too soon to be higher on my list (only 45k miles) but it's off to a great start.
5. 2014 Dodge Durango Citadel. Bought new to replace the Honda Odyssey. Wife was ready for an SUV after 10 years in a minivan. Best looking SUV of it's size in my opinion. Now at 150,000 miles. It's had a few minor issues fixed under warranty ( sensors), but an overall excellent vehicle so far. Wife loves it.

Worst
1. 1995 Buick LeSabre Custom. Bought from my wife's grandmother in 2003 with less than 40k miles. It was just a lemon with some electrical gremlins, let me down on several occasions. Perhaps it sat too long. Replaced it in Sept. 2008 with the RAM. Never looked back on that one.
2. 1998 Mercury Mountaineer. Bought new. It had the Firestone tires with the infamous issues and my wife did have a blowout on that initial set of tires. Was a nice looking SUV (for it's time), but it had some weird problem with the rear geometry - one of the back tires would always "cup" - form a little divot, that would then "thump" . Traded it in in 2003 with less than 80k miles for the Honda. A good trade.

Worst: 79 Volvo station wagon. Always something wrong with it.
83 Ford Escort. Transmission replaced. Never did work right, went through tires.
Best: 65 Catalina. 70 Trans Am. 01 Mercury Marquis. 94 Olds Cutlass. I paid $600. for this car and it was a great car no trouble at all. 85 Grand Am 275,000 miles when it finally died. 2000 Camry 2.2 auto, 274,000 miles ran like new, got wiped out by my stepson.
