Default converter question

tube chassis car /waight is 2495 with 200 lb driver /motor was dynoed at 960 hp /rear gear is 410 / 16x33 tire / power glide / currently running a coan 9in stalls around 5500 -----seem's to be a pig of the line sixty foot is 1.25-------seem this should be in the teen's best car ran was 8.50's ??????? question is should this have 8in converter or should I go to 430 or 456 rear gear

Jim, my combo in my sig, uses an 8" PTC converter. 33.5" tire with 4.30 gears. Dyno'd at 960 HP as well.

With the 1.80 PG, I went a best of 1.09 in 60'. Routinely 1.12s. Launched at 5900 RPM.

Might need a better converter, but also some chassis work. Shocks, 4 link, tire pressure, wheelie bar height, etc.
