My 19,000 mile car has tons of original overspray. Looks like the assembly line guys were trying to prove a point.

wow!?

Thanks Steve!!

With that much overspray, I seem to have a new question;
Was the hood painted off the car?
(note the hinges appear to have no paint, but there is white surrounding them)

To get back to the topic....

The restoration looks great! Nice bodywork and prep. Paint will look awesome on this car.

Thanks for posting the pix.

Yes the hoods were painted off the car.
Here's the thread if you need any other detail photos (though it is a 73 not a 72). http://forums.maxperformanceinc.com/...d.php?t=736345

Fantastic progress and getting close! This may be the first thread on this site that makes me happy and a little sad at the same time.

Thanks everyone. I am chipping away at it a little at a time. Hopefully the car turns out as Glenn envisioned. He did a lot of work to this car and is due credit. I am just trying to get it over the finish line. I hope to be fitting the hood and nose in the coming weeks along with some fine tuning of panel adjustment. I will post any progress as it comes.

Hi not much. The hood is on the car and body panels have been adjusted.. it needs the interior reinstalled and rear bumper put on. It's currently in my buddies garage. He is asking me to help him finish the car so there will probably be progress posted soon.
