69 Firebird Show Panel
Does anybody know who makes or sells a 69 Firebird Show panel. The panel that is right in front of radiator support. I can only find original type pieces that are called filler panels, for 400 or AC cars, baffles and gussets. Please help. Tired of the 69 Firebird getting so much disrespect, when several companies make them for almost any Camaro and many others. Especially when 69 Firebird is much more rare than 69 Camaro. And when original were the upper line. NOT the lower line Camaro. Thanks. Jerry

Never heard of a "show" panel. Those 400 baffles were it.
If your '69 Bird is getting disrespect, you are definitely hanging with the wrong element!!

If you are referring to the two upper baffles on the 400s and AC cars; a search for "1969 baffles" shows a link to them at Classic Industries and on EBay. However, I don't know what a show panel means.

Show panel
They are made for Camaro, Nova, C10, El Caminos, etc. They are billet pieces that fit in that area made out of stainless, aluminum, chrome . For show type cars. That is what I mean by disrespect. In fact all 69 Firebirds were worth more money when made and way less produced, than Camaro's, yet now Camaro are sought after and worth much more. That is what I meant. There are also way more custom parts for Camaros than Firebird. But no matter I always prefer Firebird over Camaro myself.

Baffles
Also. Even though mine was not original AC car I suppose they would still bolt in just to cover up everything down in that area? I do have AC now.

Some tuck & roll Vinyl with shaggy fur trim might be "period"?

Jerry,
Would the Camaro pieces be different than the Firebird ones? Code 510 markets both, but they look the same (except pricing). http://www.code510.com/1967-69-fireb...novations.html http://www.code510.com/1967-1969-cam...novations.html http://www.code510.com/1967-1969-cam...novations.html

Look at DSE (Detroit Speed and , Engineering) for the filler panel, give them a call.

The hood on the Firebird goes all the way to the pointed bumper, while the Camaro hood stops several inches short. Not sure how the undercover innovations is supposed to bridge that gap. My guess is the picture is wrong in the link above because they look the same (but the price is $30 different). I'd want them to email a picture before I'd buy it.
