I'm in for some Cameo White. I bought the current silver reproduction welting recently. It will have to do for now.

I've had the NOS spoiler with original welting and the other spoiler with the new welting side by side on my desk all week and I'm still amazed at how nice the new stuff is. The color and gloss are nearly exact.

As an example as to the flexibility it has, I've attached a couple pics of it on a broken spoiler. Many times over the years I've had nice original spoilers that came off a car with the tip broken at one of the holes for the staple. I've never had good luck trying to glue the piece back in place. Usually the piece is small enough that the spoiler could still be used without it for anything but a concourse car but new welting wouldn't make the sharper bend and stay on the spoiler. The pictured spoiler had the tip broken off and the new welting is flexible enough to make that tight bend and still stay in place.

Thanks for everyone's input and comments. I have to go out of town on business this coming week, but when I get back next Monday I plan on setting up a listing for the red welting on everybody's favorite auction site. I can also process a PayPal invoice for those that just want to PM me. Either way I currently have material for 100 sets, give or take. So I do not think there will be a shortage. Even if there is, I can always get more.

In the event that we are successful in selling enough to justify the tooling, engineering, and development cost, I am already investigating the Cameo white. I have produced some color samples so that I can proceed quickly to the next color if it works out.

Thanks again.

James

I had a chance to see the welting in person yesterday and I can vouch for it. Now we just need to have the flairs/spoilers themselves made in body color.

Well It won't win any awards, but the quickie website with all the appropriate information and auction links is up and operating for all those that were interested in Buccaneer Red Welting. Since I am not an experienced seller on the auction sites, they have limited me as to how many I can list for sale. The auction will run until cancelled, so I do not know if that limits the number I can actually sell. Regardless, if it is an issue for anyone, please feel free to PM me and we can work it out. Listed below is the link to the information.

Thanks, James

Is there a reason you didn't offer it directly to the guys on the forum? Now you have to deal with Ebay and Paypal fees.

I did in post #69. I probably should have done it with more gusto! For everybody interested, I can process the transaction either way. Ebay will also give it more exposure.

Thanks,

James

Okay. Yeah that one small sentence is easy to miss/forget. Probably be a little cheaper direct, with no fees incurred. ...? Yes, the exposure factor is there as not everyone is on the forum.

Thanks to those who have purchased. Ebay allowed me to raise the number available for sale.

Thanks again.
