From my experience, most cast iron is sand cast.

You can also use 3d scanning/printing to assist and lower the cost of the mold making process.

In casting, hundreds is low volume. It is very uneconomical. You'd have to charge a high price/weight.

There are varying grades of cast iron based on carbon content, I have no idea what a 1960's manifold would be categorized as today.

just spoke with Ames, there was an issue at the foundry recently, however, they expect to have some sets by the end of July.

That was for D-port I assume? Not sure if Ames ever sold round port ones. Round port would probably outsell D-port models in total. Certainly in B body cars.

yes, i am looking for d port. I beleive their are round ports avaialbe. With the numerous iron dports and now a couple aftermarket aluminum heads avaialbe, the d ports are more than capable of hanalding most street car HP requirements. I am building a sleeper carousel red 69 firebird. If that could ever be a sleeper lol
