I'm considering turning my 69 goat into a judge clone and have a few questions.
Did pontiac ever produce a yellow judge? I've always like the canary yellow on 442's and was wondering if it would look strange to have a non-original color on a judge.
What strip colors would go look good on a yellow judge? Do judges have the ram air decal on the scoops?
What exactly did the judge package consist of?
Was it just the stripes, decals, and wing? I think I read somewhere that they also had the grills blacked out on the hideaways.

My goat has a non-matching motor and was originally an ugly brown/gold, so keeping things original is not real important to me, just after a driver that's a great looking head-turner.

I'm new to the board and would appreciate any feed back. Thanks

A Judge could be painted any color that a GTO came with for that particular model year. The colors that were available in yellow tones were, Goldenrod Yellow, Mayfair Maize (Green with yellow and white accents) Antique Gold and Champagne (Black with white and red accents). Thanks for the info.
Were the grills blacked out on the judge package?
Also, how much of a "crime" would it be to paint the hood scoops black? I think Pontiac only did that for the 70 model.

Thanks again

Glenn is right. But if you are going to build a '69 clone there is only one color...Carousel Red!

The Judges had the grills painted black like you mentioned '69GoatBoy!This was on the hide-away and non-hide-away Judges!I wouldn't paint the entire scoops black if I were you,if any thing just paint the inner grill of the scoops black unless you put some Ram Air scoops on it,and even then the RA scoops should be painted the body color. The early Judges had the "The Judge" emblem on the glove box door!Go to www.ultimategto.com to view different colored '69 Judges on Seans Web Site to get an idea of some color combinations!
If your going to "Clone" a Judge at least stay as correct as possible!
