Default 489909 intake hose

I found this in my parts stash, in a GM box marked part number 489909. Anyone here know if it's a nos part or not? I thought the "hairy" hoses had a fuzzy look to them. This one is shiny and pretty smooth.

There was also another in it, but it's a different style.

Should I use it on a car I'm working on, or go with a cheap replacement? It's not a 1000pt show car, so if this hose is valuable I'll just keep it for my 77

Use it or it'll never be used. And the cheap replacements are incorrect and far too short. Usually 16" GM vs 13" no-name repros on the recent batch.

Does anyone know when the change-over happened? I think I recall seeing 78 models with the fuzzy type, but also have saved pics of dated 79 hose as per pic.

Original owner here. My March built Norwood 79 has the fuzzy type.
