Does your switch take the 2 or the 3 retainer clips to hold the wire plug?

Very sad to say it is a used part only.

I see them on eBay fairly regularly and also, there are quite a few available among the members here. I got a couple once I started asking around in the parts wanted section.
One warning, don't let anyone tell you that just any 1968 GM 'A' body switch will sub. It won't. Make sure it's for a '68 GTO, Tempest or LeMans...and frankly, I'm not absolutely positive on the Tempest and LeMans. Just make sure it has eight prongs for the plug.

That's what I meant by my earlier post...They are not the same. It's totally exclusive to the '68 GTO (possibly Tempest and LeMans) but definitely not common with any other car of '68 or of any other year.
