It seem that I 69 will not shift untill a very high rpm has bee reached. Just happen today was fine yesterday? I did change the rocker cover gasets today.

Check the vacuum modulator line to the trans. sounds as if it got knocked off during the gasket change. Could have come off the intake or trans area.
