All right, time to find out what I should should do here. I've got my new control arm bushings for my 69 and am having a fit trying to get the bolts out. The lower one I'm trying to get out will not slide out. I put the impact on it and it will spin. I've tried to hammer it out with no luck. I just gave up and called it a night. It looks like the sleeve is siezed onto the bolt, and will not let go. Should I heat it up good, and try that? Or should I just cut the bolts off and replace them. I have also PB blasted it. I'm going back tonight for some more punishment, and would like some tips. Also if I cut them, does anyone know the dimensions of the bolts so that I can have them when I get there. Nothing is open after 9pm when I go to work on it. Thanks in advance, Eric.

Eric,

Rear right? Let the PB Blaster do it's job & soak in for a while and they will come loose, just make sure the car is supported, as well as the axle housing!!

whether fronts or rears if you 'unweight' the control arm properly they'll be loose. a light tap with a punch on the end will slide them out. all spring and suspension weight will have to be off. if the sleeve if rusted to the bolt you'll have to soak them with PB or WD. then use an air chisel with a blunt tip to push the tip backwards out of the sleeve. don't fire up the torch. you'll have a rubber smoking mess and be no further advanced as you'll still have to push out the bolt shaft. same with cutting them. they will all come out with air chisel pushing them back as the sleeve will catch on the control arm - the bolt will release. if stubborn back-support the control arms so as not to bend them.
