Can someone tell me what kind of exhaust manifolds a 69GP with a xf code 428 came with?

The XF 428 used the standard log exhaust manifolds, they were the same as the ones used on the '69 Firebird V8 cars. The driver's manifold had the center outlet, the passenger side had the rear outlet. The Passenger side manifold is the same as used on V8 GTO/Lemans/Tempest cars, might even be the same as the Pontiac 'big cars' too.

In the '69 model year they changed from a 6-bolt manifold to a 4-bolt manifold, eliminating the two outermost bolts even though many of the heads (yours included) had all 6 holes drilled and tapped for bolts.

If you're looking for originality these are the ones you need. However with the unique engine mounting arrangement used on the '69 GP you have a lot of room and pretty much can fit just about any style exhaust manifolds (F-body long branch RA/HO, A-body RA/HO and standard logs of both types) that you want.

b-man,
do the F-body long branch manifolds fit in a 72 GP as well? assuming you do some tapping on the 7K3 head to use all 6 bolts?
