OMG! Where is that 73? If it had a suroof it would be a twin to my first GP. I may have to sell my 76 if that is available.

I'm insanely jealous. If it ever comes available pleaes contact me directly. I have looked for a twin to my first GP for years.

Great looking car!

Some more recent pics, just lowered my car and installed new wheels. Posted this over in the suspension forum, but don't know how many GP guys look over there. Wheels are US Mags Bandit, 18 x 8 w/ 255-45-18 tires. I machined a recess in the center caps and installed Pontiac emblems. Lowered the car with drop spindles in the front, and in the rear used a set of Cargo coil type springs I had hanging around since pulling them from a 71 Chevelle parts car. Installed new Monroe Sensatrac shocks as well.

That looks bloody good 77sjgp!!

I've been wondering for ages about wheels for mine and have considered the Bandit. Is that about a 2 inch drop as well?

Thanks, yes I'd say it was a 2" drop.

1st scootingp, all GM cars after , or starting in 75 had single exhaust unless you had in changed back then. But all GM cars starting then were built for a converter & single exhaust was the thing. But please do it right & get yourself a duel exhaust crossmember , any GM A body car from 73-74 will use a duel exhaust crossmember as you could have either so they only came with a duel crossmember. Theres always someone with them for sale here or on the A-body site . Also there always for sale on ebay. Next this question is for 77sjgp. Where did you get your 2" drop spindles for your GP ?? They would be the same for my 73 GTO & I want to so bad lower the front end because it sits so high I can see inside the engine compartment. I have new springs form Pontiac that i thought by now they would have sagged a little bit but no there still at the correct driving height that Pontiac says they should be at, but I don't want it that high. Place, part number, price?? Please . ???

Hi Rex, spindles were sourced from Ebay, Mcgaughys brand, paid $187. + $30. to ship, appears they're a little more expensive now http://www.ebay.com/itm/1973-1977-El...item483b501dcb

Hey 77GP, welcome back to owning a 73-77 GP! 1974 is my personal favorite.

This WAS my '73.

I bought it in 1988, replaced/rebuilt ALL the mechanicals, sold it in 2001.
Needed to make room for my new Collector Edition.

The GP was my first car. Loved that car. Wanted to restore it but sheet metal was not available. It seems it still isn't even to this day. Sucks that '73 was a stand alone year even though it was part of the '73-'77 gen.

That wasn't the original color. Somebody before me painted it that brown color. The original color was Valencia Gold. It was still there on the backside of the trunk lid.
