Ok, so I'm not really that knowledgeable on the 70+ firebirds, formulas, etc. So this motor is a 455, but I'm assuming not a super duty 455? I know they had SD motors in some 73-74 TA's, but did they have SD 455 Formula's and if so, I'd assume they are very rare?

I know there are great cars up there. My remark was I hate it's so far away. I'd love to be close enough to see it. That's a cool car.

The brown one for sale is the optional 455 (non-SD) and only came with the automatic (THM400). You could order a 455-SD for the '74 Formula and the trans. could be either auto (THM400) or manual 4-speed (Borg-Warner ST-10. I still think a couple were made with the Muncie, my opinion). See his yellow car a few posts ago.

Fly up and take a look at it. I can help with arrangements in shipping at a resonable rate if you like it. I need to get this or my 72 GTO sold. I'm open to offers.

There were 101 SD-455 Formula's built in 73-74. 43 in 1973 and 58 in 1974. As HFR pointed out I am offering a "D" port 455 1974 Formula and there were 702 made. This was the last year the motor was available in Formula.
