If this car has been repainted why are there so many ding's in the right side & all the chips in the paint. To me the paint looks very bad , it looks like it hasn;t been repainted it looks aas if it was spotted where SOME of the paint was chipped & to look at the right dog leg just behind the right door looks a though it has a pretty good ize dent in it. I don't know who did the possible paint work but I'm sure before it would come out of my garage it would have to look a lot better than it does.Definetly not a 20K car, more like an 8K car.

It looks dirty and in need of buffing to me...I dont see any dents or chips. Are you offering him $8K for it or just giving him your opinion on what you think HIS car is worth?

It is dirty and needs to be buffed out. It's been sitting for a couple of years. There are no dings or chips. The pictures are not good. You would need to see the car in person to get a clear picture of the work that went into the car, which I stated earlier. The engine rebuilt cost over 4K. The new custom correct seat covers in saddle cost over 2K. If you can't restore the car yourself or have the money to have a restoration shop restore it then this car is not for you. If you can do it yourself it is an easy restoration project and it is worth the time to restore this rare bird. If you had the car repainted and assembled and it cost you 15k you would have 35k in it. These cars easily go for 45K. 10K profit now or sit on it a few years and have it be worth that much more down the line.

I've dealt with them, they're good mechanics. Are they doing their own machine work, now?

If not, who do they use?

I believe they send the machine work to a place in Scranton. I don't recall who they use. It has been a couple of years.

Holiday bump. If anyone is near Northeast Pa and interested it is best to come see the car. Reasonable offers considered.

LOL @ this guy.... 8k for a 73 trans am, Brewster green, with some body work done ....give the guy selling his car some credit. Easy to sit at home on your computer and tell people what their stuff is worth without seeing it in person. Not to mention totally devalue what he has.... He does in fact have a valuable car. They are getting harder and harder to find. Good luck on your sale.

I have the car. My family does not want me to sell it. My son wants me to restore it. With the drive train done and body work mostly done it would not take too much to put it back together. I have a sick family member that takes up most of my time. I am going to wait and see how things turn out before I decide weather to sell it or restore it.
