I have for sale a #'s matching 1974 Formula with 455. This is real deal 455 Formula that come's with the PHS and is one of around 300 built.Last year you could get the Formula with the "Y" or "X" code motors.Body has 122K on it. Motor,Trans,Rearend,Front & rear Brake's and suspention are all done as well as new body mount's. Everthing has around 2500 mile's on it.Just enough to break it in. I have somewhere between $8K & $10K in reciept's for the work.Everything was Professionally done.Motor was done by a fellow PY member Wayne Schicantec.Car is solid.Floor's,trunk are nice.Drive as is or could use minor body work and definitly new Paint and some TLC to the interior.Original color is code 59 Crestwood Brown with Deluxe cloth Saddle interior. Jim,

This is the one I tried to buy back in 2001. Now I have it and something has come up and I cant keep it. I guess it's not ment to be. It's really a nice car. Everything work's except the radio.Even the A/C work's ( could use a recharge, blow's cold not frezzeing ). Here's some more pic's. |

Curious
How many Formula's in 1974 were factory ordered with WU3 Ram Air Hood option? ie open hood scoops and fresh air, air cleaner?

There were 702 1974 Formulas with the L75/M40 (standard 455/automatic). How many were both? Good question. |

74 Formula 455
I had the opportunity to drive this car last week and it did not disappoint. Engine, Trans & Rear all rebuilt and very solid. Interior also very nice. Could use some minor body work and a repaint but is useable as is. I'm a first gen guy but this would be a good car for the second gen lovers.

Either this or the 72 GTO have to go. I'm gonna have some unforseen medical bill's ( not from me ) that come first. Like I said some things just are'nt meant to be. |

wow, not a bad ride at all.
also, I see that yellow Trans Am in one your pictures.... that's cool. I never knew they made a yellow super duty. hey, would you do a trade? I have an awesome 06' Ford Focus... it's pretty much on its last legs, but it might work better for you... think about it... |

From what I can see and tell anyone. This car does not need any rust repair or patch panel's,just minor dings taken care of.The interior is in very good shape needing a new cover for the center console and re-dyeing of the panel's.There's no crack's in the dash and I do have an extra RTS emblem for the glove box. I will even throw in a rare 2nd gen luggage rack that came off of a 73 Firebird that happened to be Brown.Let me know if your interested.

Hey Jim:
Not a big fan of the brown but would love to have this along side the 1968 gen one un-restored 400 Firebird I own, but the staging and storage budget is only so big, and have a boat and two daily drivers to deal with as well. Would love to see it before it sells. (262) 408-8839 is the cell. I'm in Brookfield, WI, And yes, @ jimmy danniel, there "really" some great cars in the north....some have been preserved and kept out of the elements, but several are transplanted from the south or west and kept up and preserved....as in my 68 black plate. |

Here this is from Schoon Motor's Luverne,Minn. Un restored survivor. Original Paint,Interior, and Motor never rebuilt or out of the car. Some of us know how to take care on our car's.The other 79 400 4 spd Formula Was a 2 owner car before I sold it with one repaint and 50K original Mile's from right here in Wisconsin.
