Default interior door panel badge

Hi all, new guy here.

I recently came across this 72 GTO survivor for sale. matching #'s unmolested body. the question is, did the 72 have this badge.
Seller says int. is orig. but look too good to be 40 y o.

No, that's a 04-06 GTO badge. That is a delux interior with the pull stap handles, so those did not come with door emblems. Standard interior with bench seat would have a door emblem instead of the pull strap in 72.

Its nonot 04 -06 badge .
I've been driving an 04 for 8 yrs.
hence redgoated
